Fire Procedure

On Hearing the Fire Alarm:

Locate the source and possible cause of the fire alarm

On Finding a Fire:

Raise the alarm – inform your flat mates (set off the fire alarm if present)

Attack fire if possible with the appliances provided but do not take personal risk

Phone 999

Speak clearly, give operator your number and ask for fire service

When the operator replies, say : Fire at ______________________

_________________________________  and

include any landmark

Do not hang up until your address is confirmed back to you

Shut all doors and wait in front of  the building

(assembly point)

On arrival of the fire service, inform the emergency personnel if you suspect that someone is missing or trapped
